Bridge Info Please

Following on from last year's successful joint Backpackers Club (Scotland)/Challenge bridge database initiative, and the many subsequent requests for bridge information, can I please ask all Challengers on C25 to record details of bridges encountered. For standardisation of the data, Challengers are asked to record the following:

• Date of observation
• 6-figure grid reference and OS sheet number
• Condition of bridge, i.e. prefectly usable/usable with care/unusable/bridge missing.
• Any further comment e.g. poor decking, broken/missing handrails, old stalkers' bridge, suitable for vehicles, etc, etc.

Please leave your comments at Challenge Control in Montrose for collection by myself. The data will be incorporated into the ever-growing database and information will be freely available to all on request.
