New Braemar Bridge

As part of the development of the footpath network around Braemar, a new bridge is proposed across the River Dee north of the villlage, at approx GR 146922. This bridge would link into the footpath network north of the Dee and could obviously save Challengers the trudge along the road from Linn of Dee to Braemar (though it would cut out Inverey YH).

Braemar Community Ltd are seeking support for the bridge, and a questionnaire is attached here which you can download and fill in. The questionnaire has three pages, for individuals, clubs or businesses, but you only need to complete one of them.

Please give BCL your support for this important proposal. A feasibility study is currently being carried out before the proposal is taken further. The bridge is of course in the Cairngorms National Park, so it is important that all aspects are thoroughly considered.
